Unfortuanlty, Seduction Games just didn't work for me and I had a hard time believing the romance between Andi, Kane, and Isaiah. In all honestly I wasn't really even impressed by the romance between Kane and Isaiah and they were already together as a couple. Right at the beginning of the book we learn that these three are online gaming buddies who've never met in person until this competition in Vegas. We're told in basically one paragraph that before Andi met her boyfriend the three of them would talk dirty, flirt, and have cybersex. The rest of the relationship is built off of that foundation but it was so minimal that I found it really jarring when they went from meeting in person for the first time to having a threesome. Especially considering Andi's awkwardness and lack of self-confidence.Out of personal preference, I found the sex scenes pretty boring (which is saying something for a menage) and they seemed to lack the emotion I would expect out of people falling for each other. I felt like Andi had more passion for her cookie business than she did for her relationship. I liked the concept of online friends to real life triad and the gaming competition was neat but the romance/sexual exploration side of the story, the whole reason for the book, just wasn't very good for me. Seduction Games...I could use some!This is my first book by Allyson and one of very few ménage erotica I've read (pretty new to the genre) and I have to say, this is my favorite of all the books I've gotten my eager hands on. As a geek myself, I was drawn to the gaming theme for both the competition and Andi's business she's trying to get funding for. I was also drawn to the friends-to-lovers theme especially after one of them is dealing with a bad breakup. What wasn't to like about giving it a shot? Glad I did.I loved Andi, Kane, and Isaiah, though Kane was last on the list and I'll go over that in a bit. Their chemistry was so nice and they as characters were really well rounded. I actually could identify with Andi, feeling inadequate in many ways but still trying to do her best. Some of her thoughts, I'd had myself, so I really loved watching her grow and overcome those obstacles. Isaiah was adorable. From the start he doted over Andi and was there for her when she needed it (until a particular event that caused some friction). Kane....he was a good character, when he wasn't asking cold in the most confusing ways. I'll elaborate on this in a moment. Together, they made for a great competition team, when they were actually communicating, and great loves, when other issues weren't in the way.Sex scenes? Blood HOT! right off the bat when they get to Vegas we're given a show and it only gets hotter. Ladies and Gentlemen, you're going to need an extra pair of panties/boxers.What didn't I like? Well, I had issues with three things. The first thing, Kane's hot and cold issue. From the start it was obvious Isaiah had a thing for Andi. there was no question about it. Kane? If the sexual tension in the bedroom wasn't there to spur him on to show his "true feelings", he acted like Andi was taking Isaiah away from him. Every time he acted cold, I thought he was being jealous but refused to say anything. And yet, in the end, he's the one trying to claim he didn't want Andi to know how the two of them actually loved her (yes, both did) because he didn't want to scare her. It just didn't add up.Second issue, the length of this book make this friends-to-lovers thing a bit of a hard sell. The books reads extremely fast. I read it in one short sitting. but I was left wanting more, not in a way a standard book hangover does, but in a way that said "wait, but there's so much missing". Andi has known these guys for years but during some of that time she's been with some jerk who ended up cheating on her. Not even 2 days after she leaves the guy, she's having sex with these two hot friends and it just basically continues until they officially get together at the end of the competition....3 day competition mind you. Adding the drive of 2-ish days, that's 5 days total to go from one relationship to the next. There just wasn't enough there for me to find this really believable.Last issue? Andi not taking any responsibility for her relationship falling apart. Yes, the guy cheated on her. Not it wasn't right no matter what his reasoning, but his reasoning? He didn't feel adequate. From the start, he thought Andi had Kane and Isaiah on the side. Should he have brought these concerns up with her? Oh hell yeah. Was he right in thinking this. Yes. Why do I say this? Because she was basically cybering with the boys. In the beginning of the story, you're led to believe she didn't start sharing these times with the boys until her relationship was kinda going south (but she didn't want to let it go because of self-esteem issues). Based on what's revealed, she was doing these before and during her relationship with this guy....meaning she wasn't being faithful from the start either. The guy she left was a complete jerk, never called her by her preferred name (calls her Andrea), and pretty much didn't know a single thing she liked, but that doesn't excuse her actions either. She did start to think that some of the problems were her fault, but then immediately rationalized it all being her Ex's fault.But, even with these issues, I still found the book enjoyable and I love the twist she put in on how Andi found her funding and kept the relationship of the three intact for the long haul. I've preorderd the next in the series as I'm curious how this will continue with her friend and picked up another book already out in another series. Allyson has a made a fan. I'm looking forward to more from her.
